Seeing Jesus Transform Lives Through Sports Camps An Update From Breakout Ministries

Recently, we had the privilege of reviewing everything we’ve been up to at Breakout since we began in 2022. It’s incredible to look back over everything God has done! We are in awe and filled with gratitude. A huge thank you to everyone who supports us, your prayers are powerful! 

Here are some of the encouraging observations we discovered when writing our Annual Report: 

• Since 2022, Breakout Ministries has held nine camps across various churches, from Cornwall to Scotland! 

• These camps directly impacted 652 people, with 222 young people attending and hearing the Gospel.

• 2 in 3 churches we visited reported that individuals came to Christ through their camp experiences! (This has to be the most exciting one!)

• The majority of churches we visited saw new follow up ministries formed as a result of our camps. 

• Two thirds of the churches that participated were able to establish new ministries that were still going six months later. 

• Nearly 1 in 4 of the young people participating in the camps continued to actively engage with the host church six months after the camp. 

• 88% of churches have already committed to hosting another camp. 

• We’ve had a 20% growth rate - with ever increasing hunger demonstrated! 

• We’ve helped one church plant become established and facilitated the creation of three youth ministries. 

All this is a testament to how God has moved through the power of community-driven ministry. We thank Him for his great faithfulness! 

What’s Next? 

We’re expectant to see continued growth and more inspiring testimonies of people coming to know Jesus.

There’s already a lot in the diary. In 2025, we are booked for camps in 11 camps including new locations. James has already visited both rural Ireland and sunny Madrid! 

We’re continuing to build connections and partnerships with other ministries that share our heart, particularly East-West and M4. 

An exciting answer to prayer 

2025 marks the first time a camp has been run by a leader other than James! This is a big response to prayer and shows the beginning of a trajectory of sustainable growth and multiplied leadership in the ministry.

Prayer points for 2025

• Begin by thanking God for the fruit of June and July camps already completed in 2025!

• Please pray for upcoming camps, particularly for young leaders involved who are stepping up.

• Ask for continued financial provision, that it would be a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

• Pray for continued wisdom and discernment as we grow. We want to build Breakout in God’s image, not our own.
